L'Angelicum becomes AngelicumMusica with Lorenzo Arruga as Artistic Consultant. The concerts are grouped together according to theme and preceded by a lecture given by the artists. The performances take place at the Sala Puccini of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano on Sunday morning and Monday evening. Carlo Parazzoli is the concertmaster of the orchestra.
Roberto Gini begins his collaboration with the orchestra directing Anahi Carfi in "Le Quattro Stagioni".
Antonio Ballista, pianist, appears as soloist with the orchestra.
1994
L'AngelicumMusica becomes Milano Classica and begins performing at the Palazzina Liberty. The concert season is dedicated entirely to the German and Italian repertoire of the 18th century which will become the specialty of the orchestra.
Riccardo Muti holds a concert lecture with the orchestra.
Ottavio Dantone, and Corrado Rovaris begin their collaboration with the orchestra.
Laura Alvini is the first soloist to play the fortepiano with the orchestra.
Anahi Carfi and Giulio Franzetti are the concertmasters of the orchestra.
1995
The Orchestral Profession is the title of the 1995 season. The principle players of Orchestra della Scala begin a collaboration with Milano Classica. Giulio Franzetti, Anahi Carfi, Danilo Rossi and Alexander Lonquich hold seminars and master classes. Fabio Biondi plays and conducts the orchestra for the first time. Enrico Dindo performs with Milano Classica. Alexander Lonquich plays and conducts the orchestra.
1996
Besides the customary concert season between January and June, Milano Classica presents concerts during the autumn. Emanuele Beschi takes over as Artistic Director.
Giuliano Carmignola,violinist, and Bruno Canino,pianist, play for the first time with the orchestra.
1997
Milano Classica performs for the 1000 year anniversary of the construction of the Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio.
Franco Gulli and Enrica Cavallo perform for the first time with Milano Classica.
The orchestra begins collaborations with Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli Jr.,conductor and Marco Fornaciari, violinist.
1998
Massimiliano Caldi begins his first season as Principle Conductor.
Stefano Montanari, who has been a frequent soloist with Milano Classica, conducts the orchestra for the first time.
1999
The year is marked by important events. The orchestra performs five concerts at the Sala Verdi of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano. Mario Brunello and Giovanni Sollima perform a program that includes music by Sollima.
Milano Classica begins an important collaboration with Milva.
2000
This season is dedicated almost entirely to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Mauro Rossi, who will become concertmaster of the orchestra, performs with Milano Classica for the first time.
Mario Carbotta succeeds Emanuele Beschi as Artistic Director.
2001
Milano Classica begins it's project of the rediscovery of the Symphonies of Giovanni Battista Sammartini which will lead to two cds with Dynamic Records
The orchestra begins concert seasons in Voghera and Stradella.
Milano Classica performs at the Flanders Festival in Belgium and the Lubiana Festival in Slovenia.
Diego Fasolis conducts Milano Classica for the first time.
2002
Sammartini, masonic music and music of Lombardy from the 18th century are featured in concerts preceded by seminars with eminent musicologists. Lo Spazzacamino by Marcos Portugal Da Fonseca becomes the first opera performed by Milano Classica.
The orchestra performs at the Oratorio del Gonfalone in Rome.
Karl Leister, clarinetist, appears with Milano Classica.
The birth of l'Associazione Amici di Milano Classica (Friends of Milano Classica), headed by Maria Candida Morosini. This association's goal is to support the artistic activities of the orchestra.
2003
The orchestra is invited to perform in Istanbul and at the Ankara Festival.
Enrico Casazza and Marco Bianchi make their debuts as soloist and conductor.
Enrico Casazza and Marco Bianchi become the concertmasters of the orchestra.
Vanni Moretto conducts the first performance in modern times of the opera "L'uccellatrice" by Nicolò Jommelli.
The flutist Maurice Steger performs for the first time with the orchestra.
2004
Bin Huang, winner of the Paganini Competition opens the Milano Classica season.
The orchestra tours the U.S.A. including concerts at the Schubert Club in St.Paul, Minnesota, Vassar College in the state of New York and at the Fanfare Festival in Hammond, Louisiana with Enrico Casazza as conductor and violin soloist and Marcello Scandelli as cello soloist.
2005
Milano Classica performs in Switzerland and Turkey.
The concert season opens with the pianist Jeffrey Swann as soloist. Ennio Morricone conducts Milano Classica in Turin.
The pianist Todd Crow makes his debut with the orchestra.
2006
Milano celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart and participates in the international circuit Mozartways.
2007
Milano Classica performs with the Italian singer Franco Battiato in St.Mark's Square in Venice and at the Festival MITO Milano Torino Settembre Musica before enthusiastic crowds.
Marcello Scandelli debuts as soloist conductor with the orchestra.
Stephanie Chase,violinist, winner at the Tchaikowski Competition in Moscow performs with the orchestra.
2008
Enrico Beruschi is the stage director and Vito Clemente the conductor for the opera " La Serva Padrona" by Giovanni Battisti Pergolesi.
Milano Classica returns to MITO with Anthony and the Johnsons.
The orchestra returns to the Lubiana Festival in Slovenia and the Feldkirch Festival in Austria.
Milano Classica accompanies the famous French accordianist Richard Galliano in front of an enthusiastic crowd in Milan.
2009
Gianluca Capuano who has previously conducted the orchestra becomes the new Artistic Director of Milano Classica.
