If you prefer to study in your own time and at your own speed then one of our e-learning packages may be right up your street. There is a third option, which is you like the sound of both but perhaps can’t attend all training sessions, this is when blended learning comes into its own.
Sono quarantasette, le chiamano “le signore dell’orchestra”. Formano la Mädchenorchester von Auschwitz, orchestra femminile composta da deportate e diretta da Alma Rosé, eccezionale violinista ebrea nonché nipote di Gustav Mahler. Tra loro anche Fania Goldstein, in arte Fenélon, pianista e famosa cantante di cabaret. La loro storia, il loro amore per la musica e il loro coraggio sono gli ingredienti principali di questo concerto-narrazione nel Giorno della Memoria: un viaggio tra le musiche e i vissuti di questa comunità umana, un cammino nelle tenebre illuminato solo dalla bellezza della musica eseguita, che diventa motivo di speranza, di memoria, di futuro.
Un viaggio sorprendente nel Novecento pianistico, tra due voci fuori dagli schemi. Janáček incanta con una scrittura intensa e visionaria, fatta di frammenti, silenzi e passioni trattenute. Barber conquista con energia e brillantezza: dal fascino notturno dell’op. 33 alla travolgente Sonata op. 26, culminante in una fuga spettacolare. Un concerto ricco di emozioni e contrasti, affidato al talento di Sebastiano Benzing.
Suonano per le SS, per i prigionieri in arrivo, per accompagnare il lavoro e il dolore. Tra prove estenuanti e solidarietà che si spegne, la musica resta respiro e resistenza: bellezza che sfida l’orrore, memoria che sopravvive al silenzio. Un racconto di coraggio, memoria e speranza nel buio del lager.
