Master Class Internazionale di musica antica

La Master Class Internazionale di Musica Antica si terrà dal 30 agosto al 2 settembre 2025 presso il Casale di Santa Caterina a Bagno Vignoni, nel comune di San Quirico d’Orcia.

La Master Class è rivolta a singoli strumentisti o a gruppi di musica da camera che hanno intenzione di approfondire lo studio del repertorio barocco e classico. I docenti di questa full immersion musicale, che fa tesoro anche degli stimoli offerti dalla bellezza dei luoghi, sono personalità di spicco del mondo della musica antica. 
Alle lezioni giornaliere, che consentono un approfondito studio individuale, si aggiunge la partecipazione di ciascun iscritto a gruppi di lavoro creati per il repertorio musicale d’insieme, resi possibili anche dalla presenza di un clavicembalista accompagnatore, in collaborazione con la Piccola Accademia di Montisi.

International Master Classes in early music

The international Master Classes organized by Milano Classica will be held from August 30  through September 2  at the beautiful Casale di Santa Caterina near Bagno Vignoni in the township of San Quirico d’Orcia.

The classes will be directed towards both individual instrumentalists and chamber music groups who wish to deepen their studies of early music. The professors of this musical full immersion count as some of the most prestigious specialists in early music.
Both teachers and students will doubtless be inspired by the unrivaled beauty of the Val d’Orcia. In addition to daily individual lessons, there will be the opportunity for each participant to explore chamber music repertoire with other students. This will be made possible by the presence of a harpsichordist in residence in collaboration with the Piccola Accademia di Montisi.

Amandine Beyer è da anni riconosciuta come punto di riferimento dell’interpretazione del repertorio barocco. La sua incisione delle Sonate e Partite di Bach del 2012 ha ricevuto lodi e consensi dalla più prestigiosa critica internazionale, tra cui Diapason d’or de l’année, Choc de Classica de l’année, Editor’s choice de Gramophone, Prix Academie Charles Cros e Excepcional de Scherzo. La Seconda Partita del CD è stata coreografata e danzata da Anne Theresa Keersmaeker e Boris Charmatz. Amandine Beyer suona regolarmente nelle più importanti sale del mondo (Théatre du Chatelet, Festival de Sablé, Innsbruck Festwochen e Konzerthaus di Vienna…). Divide il proprio tra diverse formazioni, tra cui les Cornets Noirs, i duo con Pierre Hantai, Kristian Bezuidenhout e Laurance Beyer e, naturalmente, l’ensemble da lei stessa fondato: “Gli Incogniti”( le loro incicsioni dedicate alle Quattro Stagioni di Vivaldi e ai Concerti Grossi di Corelli sono state lodate come nuovi punti di massima espressione nell’esecuzione di questo repertorio.) L’altra grande passione di Amandine è l’insegnamento. Insegna all’ESMAE a Porto in Portogallo e tiene corsi e masterclasses in tutto il mondo (Francia, Taiwan, Brasile, Stati Uniti e Canada). Dal 2010 insegna violino barocco alla Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Svizzera.

Amandine Beyer has been recognized for years as a point of reference in the interpretation of the Baroque repertoire. Her recording of the Sonatas & Partitas by J. S. Bach in 2012 received plaudits and consensus from the most prestigious international critics, including Diapason d’or de l’année, Choc de Classica de l’année, Editor’s choice de Gramophone, Prix Academie Charles Cros and Excepcional de Scherzo. Her rendition of Bach’s second Partita was choreographed and performed by Anne Theresa Keersmaeker and Boris Charmatz.
She performs regularly in the world’s most important concert halls and festivals (Théatre du Chatelet, Festival de Sablé, Innsbruck Festwochen, Konzerthaus of Vienna…). She divides her time between performing with various music ensembles : les Cornets Noirs, duos with Pierre Hantai, Kristian Bezuidenhout and Laurance Beyer as well as her own ensemble, “Gli Incogniti” (their CD’s devoted to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Corelli’s Concerti Grossi have been lauded by international critics as new high points in the performance of this repertoire).
Her other great passion is pedagogy. She teaches at ESMAE of Porto (Portugal, and also holds masterclasses worldwide (France, Taiwan, Brazil, USA and Canada). Since 2010 she has taught baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland.

Dopo aver studiato flauto moderno con R. Guiot, I. Grafenauer, A. Persichilli e A. Marion, nel 1998 ha deciso di dedicarsi alla musica antica. È stato ammesso al Koninklijk Conservatorium di Bruxelles, dove ha studiato flauto barocco e classico con Barthold Kuijken e Marc Hantai, diplomandosi con lode nel 2004. Oggi è flautista principale e unico fiatista ufficiale dell’ensemble Gli Incogniti, diretto da Amandine Beyer, e collabora con alcune delle principali orchestre specializzate in esecuzione storica, come Les Talens Lyriques, Capella Cracoviensis, Ensemble Pygmalion, Accademia Bizantina, Le Concert de la Loge, e Orchestre des Champs Elysées.

Ha registrato per etichette prestigiose come Deutsche Grammophone, Decca, Sony, Naive, e Glossa. Nel 2004 ha fondato l’ensemble Accademia Ottoboni a Roma. L’album Boccherini, registrato con questo ensemble, ha vinto il premio come miglior registrazione dell’anno nel 2015 nella categoria “baroque instrumental” dalla rivista Diapason. Il suo album da solista, Light and Darkness (2022), dedicato alle sonate per flauto di C.P.E. Bach, ha ricevuto un grande successo di critica, inclusi il Diapason d’Or nel marzo 2023 e il titolo di “disco della settimana” per la radio berlinese Rbb-Kultur.

Attualmente insegna flauto barocco, classico e romantico in Italia, presso i conservatori di Cesena e Brescia, ed è regolarmente invitato a tenere masterclass internazionali, come Urbino Musica Antica e Paesaggi Musicali Toscani.

After studying modern flute with R. Guiot, I. Grafenauer, A. Persichilli, and A. Marion, in 1998 he decided to dedicate himself to early music. He was admitted to the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, where he studied baroque and classical flute with Barthold Kuijken and Marc Hantai, graduating with honors in 2004. Today, he is the principal flautist and the only official flutist of the ensemble Gli Incogniti, directed by Amandine Beyer, and collaborates with some of the leading orchestras specialized in historical performance, such as Les Talens Lyriques, Capella Cracoviensis, Ensemble Pygmalion, Accademia Bizantina, Le Concert de la Loge, and Orchestre des Champs Elysées.

He has recorded for prestigious labels such as Deutsche Grammophone, Decca, Sony, Naive, and Glossa. In 2004, he founded the ensemble Accademia Ottoboni in Rome. The album Boccherini, recorded with this ensemble, won the award for Best Recording of the Year 2015 in the “Baroque Instrumental” category from Diapason magazine. His solo album, Light and Darkness (2022), dedicated to the flute sonatas of C.P.E. Bach, received great critical acclaim, including the Diapason d’Or in March 2023 and the title of “Album of the Week” from Berlin’s Rbb-Kultur radio.

He currently teaches baroque, classical, and romantic flute in Italy at the conservatories of Cesena and Brescia and is regularly invited to give international masterclasses, such as at Urbino Musica Antica and Paesaggi Musicali Toscani.

TECNICA ALEXANDER – Aingeala De Búrca // ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE – Aingeala De Búrca

Aingeala De Búrca è una violinista classica e barocca che insegna ai musicisti come migliorare i propri standard di esecuzione. Ha una laurea in musica presso il Trinity College di Dublino, una laurea in violino barocco presso la Kungliga Musika Högskolan (KMH) di Stoccolma e un master in violino presso l’Università di Limerick in Irlanda. Si è esibita con le migliori orchestre professionali irlandesi, importanti gruppi rock irlandesi e in produzioni teatrali. Ha usato le sue capacità di improvvisazione e composizione per creare progetti musicali in contesti educativi, comunitari e outreach. Oltre ad attingere alla sua vasta e variegata esperienza esecutiva, Aingeala usa la sua formazione come musicoterapeuta e insegnante di tecnica Alexander per tenere lezioni specificamente progettate per tirare fuori il meglio da ogni studente. Impegnata nell’educazione dei musicisti e nello sviluppo delle loro pratiche esecutive, Aingeala viaggia spesso in tutta Europa per lavorare con i musicisti. La sua straordinaria collaborazione con la classe di Amandine Beyer si concentra sull’aiutare i violinisti a realizzare una maggiore libertà di espressione, raggiungendo così standard più elevati di prestazioni mentali e fisiche.

Aingeala De Burca is a classical and baroque violinist who teaches musicians how to improve and enhance their performance standards.She has a degree in music from Trinity College, Dublin, a degree in baroque violin performance from Kungliga Musika Högskolan (KMH), Stockholm, anda master’s degree in violin performance from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
She has performed with top Irish professional orchestras, prominent Irish rock bands, and in theatre productions. She has used her improvisational and compositional skills for creating music projects in educational, community and outreach settings.
In addition to drawing upon her extensive and varied performance experience, Aingeala uses her training as a music therapist and an Alexander Technique teacher to teach lessons that are specifically designed to bring out the best in every student.
Committed to the education of musicians and the development of their performance practices, Aingeala travels frequently throughout Europe to work with musicians.
Her unique classroom collaboration with Amandine Beyer focuses on helping violinists realise greater freedom of expression thereby achieving higher standards of mental and physical performance

Quota d’iscrizione: € 200 da versare all’atto dell’iscrizione. In caso di rinuncia alla partecipazione tale importo non verrà rimborsato.

Quota di frequenza: € 300 da versare entro il 15 agosto.

PARTICIPANTS:
